SkillsUSA Celebrates Multiple State Medal Winners
WATC’s SkillsUSA members gave it their all at April’s state contests and many were rewarded with bronze, silver and gold medals. About 900 students from across the state visited Central Center on Wednesday and Main Campus and Seneca Center on Thursday for this annual event. Fourteen WATC students proved to be at the top of their games, placing in the top three. Three of these were gold medalists which qualifies them for the national competition where they will compete against the best in the nation in Kansas City, Missouri, in June.
The WATC chapter was also awarded the 2008 Kan Do Chapter Gold Award and the Largest College/Post-Secondary Membership award with 304 student members. Congratulations SkillsUSA members for a job well done!
