This program meets the requirements for a student to take the exam for the powerplant mechanic certificate. The certificate authorizes the holder to approve aircraft “for return to service” that has undergone inspection or maintenance. This curriculum is approved by the Federal Aviation Administration. The curriculum covers everything from electricity, environmental systems, sheetmetal and turbine and reciprocating engines. Graduates from this program are in demand not only in the field of aviation but in other fields that require a high degree of mechanical knowledge.
