Internet Service Provider (ISP)

An ISP is a company that can provide you with the software (and sometimes the equipment) to connect you with the Internet. Contact a local ISP to set up a personal account — WATC does not provide student with ISP connectivity. Please contact your ISP to obtain your e-mail address. WATC does provide you with an e-mail address, but you will also receive one from your ISP. If for some reason you still require an e-mail address, you may register for free at any of the following Web sites:

Java Compliant Web Browser

You will need a Java™ compliant Web browser. A Web browser is a software application that allows you to view Web pages. For the Java-capable browser, we recommend Microsoft® Internet Explorer 4.0 (or higher) or Netscape® 4.0. You may download a current version by visiting the links below:

Your course may require additional software. Please visit your course home page to determine if there are additional software needs.

Axio also provides a tool to help determine if your computer is ready. Click here.

Online Learning Partners with MEDS Publishing
Evening Practical Nurse students are now taking part in a great homework assistance software trial. WATC Online Learning has partnered with MEDS Publishing to provide its Total Nursing Curriculum Support software to these students the first week of February. The modules, which are provided with the software, give a variety of assistance to learners and are designed to follow students from their first course in a nursing program until they pass their Kansas State Board of Nursing exams.
Online Learning is able to pilot this software package with the evening Practical Nurse students through grant money. If the pilot proves successful, the program will be expanded to include all Practical Nurse students. We hope this software will help students achieve their educational goals and open the doors to success.

Questions concerning this partnership should be directed to Paul Jackson, director, Online Learning.
