Trouble logging in?
Here are some things to check:

  • Passwords are case-sensitive.
  • Is your Caps Lock on?
  • Are you confusing the letter "O" with the number "0"?
  • Are you confusing the letter "l" with the number "1"?

1) First time users:

  • Your User Name & password is the same for all WATC systems (Network, WebMail, Angel, Firefly)
  • Your User ID should be your first initial and your last name; e.g. John Smith = jsmith (not case sensitive). Exceptions are if you have
    the same first initial & last name as a previously enrolled student. In
    this case your user ID would have a number appended to it (i.e. a 1, 2,
    etc.). For example if a John Smith enrolled, and WATC already had one
    jsmith, your user ID would be jsmith1.
  • Your initial default password (which must be changed upon your first logon) will be your full first name with the first letter capitalized followed by your Student ID# with the W capitalized as well. For example; John with a Student ID of W00012345 would be "JohnW00012345". If you don't know your WATC Student ID number, please call Learner Services at 677-9400.
  • NOTE: before you can log into Angel for the first time you must logon to WATC WebMail and change your default password.

2) Returning users:

  • If you had successfully logged in previously, but are now having problems, it may be that your password has expired (WATC passwords expire and must be changed every 90 days). In order to change your password you must logon to WATC WebMail and change your password.
  • Changing your password:

    Password rules are as follows:
  • Must be a minimum of 8 characters in length
  • Must contain a minimum of 1 lower case letter
  • Must contain a minimum of 1 upper case letter
  • Must contain a minimum of 1 numeral (number)
  • Cannot contain your name, the word "password", or the word "WATC"
  • Cannot be a repeat of the last 5 passwords used

The email address should be the primary method of contact. The use of the phone number should be reserved only for these times when a student cannot logon to send an email. Trouble calls via email can be submitted 24/7 but will only be answered during posted times. Any phone calls received outside posted hours will go to voicemail and will be returned during the next listed time period.

The Future WATC

Plans are being laid now for the programs and infrastructure needed for the new campus. The new campus will feel more like a business center than an educational institution. Workers for the county's five aircraft manufacturers and hundreds of businesses that support them will receive training at this new campus. A few of the programs selected for the new campus are various kinds of aviation training, manufacturing, welding and robotics.

This facility will allow for the hands-on training students and employers expect.

WATC is the managing partner of Sedgwick County’s National Center for Aviation Training at Jabara Airport: a world-class facility dedicated to educating students to work in high-paying aviation and manufacturing jobs. The first phase of construction will be complete this summer and the second phase should be finished and ready for students by fall 2010.
